Dealing with Male Baldness
Losing hair is a normal part of life. Everybody loses some hair everyday. In fact, it’s part of our daily nature to shed some hair. About 10% of the hair on your head is on its “resting phase”. Your hair grows at a rate of about 1cm per month for around two to three months. After that, your body sheds off this hair to grow new ones in its place.
However, there are cases where some people lose hair more rapidly than others. With the normal rate or hair loss, you can hardly notice the baldness because the rate of hair loss is not as fast and you don’t usually lose enough hair for anybody to notice. For some people, more hair just falls out faster. This is more common with middle aged men, but it can also happen to women, younger men, and children.
Men are typically more prone to what is called “pattern baldness” or common baldness. You’ll notice that more men lose hair a certain way. As men grow older, their hairlines recede beginning from above the temple. A lot of men find it difficult to come to terms to something like this. Having a full head of hair is often associated (especially by men) to youth, vigor, and virility. More people consider men attractive with either a full head of hair or no hair at all. Men who are balding have become a perennial symbol for being middle aged and unattractive.
Of course, the loss of hair doesn’t bother everybody affected. Some men are perfectly happy with the way they look and view the loss of hair as a sign that they are advancing in years. This doesn’t always have to mean a bad thing. Some people on the other hand, go through great lengths to cover up their bald spots; from combing their hair in a peculiar way to somehow cover up the bald spot to always wearing a hat whenever they go out in public. Embracing baldness might not come as easy for some as it is for others.
One way of dealing with baldness is to try and keep your hair cut neatly. A good haircut can go a long way. Oftentimes, growing your remaining hair long and using that to cover up your bald spot is an exercise at futility. With the proper hair cut, one can actually be balding and still look dignified.
Some people resort to other means of getting back their hair. Some methods may actually be effective, especially if you can afford them. You may want to try hair transplant as a permanent solution to baldness. You can also try topical remedies, there are several in the market. If you’re looking for all-natural remedies, you can also try using Provillus.
The best way to approach this is by doing your homework. The internet offers a myriad of information about hair loss treatments, all you have to do is make a search and read through the information that you can find.
