Excessive hair loss is a cause for concern for many people. This is especially true if you begin losing your hair at an early age, and if the hair loss is excessive.   • An overall feeling of fatigue.
  • Difficulties sleeping.
  • Hyperacidity and other gastrointestinal discomfort.

A few behavioral changes that can result from poorly managed stress are:

  • Withdrawal from social interaction.
  • Anxiety attacks.
  • Excessive worrying or nervousness.
  • Feeling lethargic and demotivated.
  • Depression.
  • Mood swings.
  • Excessive smoking or drinking.
  • Drug use.
  • Overeating or other types of eating disorders.

The first and simplest step to manage stress is exercising. Daily exercise minimizes the production of hormones that cause stress and other harmful neurochemicals. Less stress hormones would mean that your hair follicles would also be given a better chance to produce healthy hair. Aside from helping you manage stress, daily exercise can also manage anxiety, depression, and insomnia.

In some extreme cases where poor stress management is actually caused by certain types of hormonal imbalance, it’s best to consult a doctor or a behavioral therapist. Some form of medication may be recommended to you to help you manage your stress levels better.
