Seeing too much hair on the drain after you shower or leaving too much hair on the pillow or on your comb can be a frustrating experience. Hair is made up of protein, and a good diet that integrates protein can help increase the quality of your hair. Fish is a good protein source since it doesn’t have the fat content of other protein sources. Eating a steak, for example, is a double-edged sword. It does have protein in it, but it also is high in fat. A fat-rich diet is not good for your hair as it encourages the production of hormones that will be harmful for it. Ideally you wait for a month or a month and a half before you dye your hair a different color. If possible, choose hair coloring agents that have less harsh chemicals in them.

Sometimes, talking with your stylist can help you decide on which product you can use, although you can also visit a hair and scalp specialist to ask for their professional opinion.

Get plenty of rest. Stress can cause irregular sleep patterns, which is not very healthy for your hair. Get at least eight hours of sleep to make sure that your body is well rested and better prepared to handle daily challenges.
